'Etruria' is the name of the ancient country inhabited by the 'Etruscans' which covered what has now become the regions of Tuscany (Toscana) Latium (Lazio) and Umbria.

The Tuscia

The word 'Tuscia' evolved from the word Etruscans (as did Toscana and Tuscania). It is now used to describe the area of northern Lazio that is now know as the province of Viterbo.
